The Tacloban City District Engineering Office (TCDEO) recently underwent an Ocular Inspection conducted by auditors from the Commission on Audit (COA) Regional Office VIII. Held from January 17 to 19, 2024, the inspection assessed completed infrastructure projects under the TCDEO's jurisdiction.

The audit team, comprising Mr. Ralph G. Amodia, Mr. John Martin C. Bacong, and Mr. Renato A. Navarra from COA, aimed to evaluate the implementation and completion of infrastructure projects within the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) – Tacloban City District Engineering Office.

The inspection involved a thorough review of documentation, site visits, and discussions with Resident Engineers, Project Engineers, and other key personnel associated with the TCDEO. The process aims to ensure transparency, accountability, and adherence to established guidelines in utilizing public funds.

Projects detailed in the CY 2023 4th Quarterly GPPA were scrutinized during the audit, fostering a cooperative environment that supports good governance principles.
