TACLOBAN CITY – The city of Tacloban has another reason to celebrate as its bet, Jahaziel Ceballos, 18, emerged victorious in the Hari ng Pilipinas 2023 pageant held in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental on January 28, 2024.
Ceballos bested 13 other candidates from different parts of the country and impressed the judges with his physique, intelligence, and personality. He also received special awards such as Best in Swimwear and Highest Scorer in the closed-door interview.
As the new Hari ng Pilipinas, Ceballos will be honored to represent the Philippines in the prestigious Mr. Global World pageant, slated to take place later this year. Ceballos is no stranger to pageantry, having won the Ginoong Sangyaw-Eco Tourism 2023 title last year.
The city government of Tacloban, led by Mayor Alfred Romualdez, congratulated Ceballos for his remarkable feat and commended him for being a role model for the youth. The mayor also assured him of the city’s full support for his upcoming international competition. —iTacloban
