Active AFP personnel nabbed on drug buy-bust in Tacloban City

TACLOBAN CITY — An active personnel of the Philippine Army was arrested in an anti-illegal drugs operation by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) 8 on Monday afternoon, May 3, 2021, at Kassel Homes, Tacloban City.

PDEA identified the suspect as Army Sergeant Allan Aldy Siangco, alias Marlboro; he is a high-value target.

According to Rogellete Urgel, Information Officer PDEA 8, the suspect was found in possession of 1 sachet of suspected shabu, with an estimated weight of 0.1994 grams and an estimated market value of Php1,355.00 pesos.

A PDEA asset transacted with Siangko and bought a package of the suspected shabu.

When the transaction took place, PDEA members nabbed the suspect and were body-searched in front of witnesses from the media and barangay officials.

According to the PDEA, they have been monitoring Siangko for some time due to reports received that he was involved in illegal drugs and his area of operation is in Tacloban City.

Also seized from him are a 9 mm Glock firearm, six magazines, and 69 rounds of ammunition.
