TACLOBAN CITY — A pump boat sank early Tuesday, April 13, in the waters off Tacloban port. Six passengers were immediately rescued by local maritime police, according to a media report.

The passengers are fresh from the market to buy some items and goods based on the initial investigation.

At the harbor, it was accidentally hit by another motorboat that caused a hole in the hull of the boat, which in turn caused it to sink.

The Maritime Police then rescued the passengers, according to Esmael Ambe, Chief Operation Officer of the Fleet, which was on its way to Brgy. Villareal Samar when the incident occurred. — Tacloban News Update
