TACLOBAN CITY - Over three thousand individuals received financial aid and access to vital government services during the Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair (BPSF) held at the Tacloban City Astrodome on September 23-24, led by President Bong-bong Marcos. This event was organized with local government units (LGUs) to address the community's needs.

The distribution of financial assistance, amounting to two thousand pesos each, was facilitated by the City Social Welfare Development Office (CSWDO) through the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program, an initiative of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

Accompanying the aid distribution was a comprehensive service caravan involving various key departments of the City Government of Tacloban. The City Legal Office, City Civil Registrar Office, City Health Office, and City Agriculture Office actively participated, providing essential services and information to the attendees.

Moreover, for those seeking to obtain their national ID, representatives from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) were present to assist new applicants and provide updates for those following up on their physical or plastic IDs.

In addition to financial aid, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) contributed by distributing three thousand seven hundred pesos each to around two thousand beneficiaries under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) program. These beneficiaries, tasked with a ten-day community cleanup in various barangays, are empowered through gainful opportunities and support for their livelihood. —iTacloban (Source: CIO)
