TACLOBAN CITY– The Philippine Military Academy (PMA) is set to hold its highly anticipated Entrance Examination in Tacloban City. Scheduled for August 26-27, 2023, at the Leyte National High School, this event offers aspiring cadets an opportunity to join the ranks of this prestigious institution.

All applicants are advised to appear on their designated examination day, as the PMA team will be facilitating the exam at the Leyte National High School, which serves as the official Testing Center. Those considering applying as walk-in applicants are welcome to participate on either examination date, although slots are subject to availability.

Registered applicants must bring the following:

  1. A printed Exam Permit, complete with the latest 2x2 photo featuring a white background.
  2. A valid ID, can be a School ID, Driver's License, or National ID, among others.

For walk-in applicants, the required documents include:

  1. A duly accomplished Cadet Application Form (downloadable from the PMA website or available at the examination center).
  2. A photocopy of the PSA birth certificate.
  3. A photocopy of HS Form 137/138 with a minimum of 85% GPA/GWA and Transcript of Records (for College students) indicating GPA/GWA.
  4. A recent 2x2 photo with a white background.
  5. A valid ID.

During the examination, all applicants are required to use a pencil (#2). 

The schedule is as follows:

  • Morning (AM): Processing of Applicants (6:00 a.m.)
  • Afternoon (PM): Start of Exam (12 noon)

Applicants should adhere to the following attire:

  1. White T-Shirt
  2. Long Pants
  3. Closed Shoes
