TACLOBAN CITY – Tingog Party-List Representatives Yedda Marie Romualdez and Jude Acidre spearheaded the distribution of P10 million in financial assistance to 2,000 deserving youth beneficiaries in Tacloban City on Wednesday, June 28. 

This impactful endeavor carried out in partnership with the Marcos administration, aims to empower the local community by investing in the future of its young generation.

Each beneficiary was granted a substantial amount of P5,000 as financial aid, providing them with a much-needed boost as they gear up for the forthcoming academic year. The Office of the Speaker and Tingog Party-List expressed unwavering optimism, anticipating that financial aid will play a pivotal role in supporting the educational pursuits of the beneficiaries.

Representative Yedda Marie Romualdez emphasized Tingog Party-List's unwavering commitment to the welfare of Eastern Visayas' residents, extending their reach beyond their constituency to aid Leyteños and Samareños nationwide.

The financial assistance, facilitated through the esteemed Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situations (AICS) program, administered by the DSWD, represents the national government's pledge to uplift vulnerable sectors of the population and improve their quality of life. 

House Speaker Ferdinand Martin Romualdez expressed his heartfelt hope that the aid provided would enable the beneficiaries to embark on livelihood activities or support their children's education, laying the foundation for a brighter future.

Echoing the Party-List's mission to serve the people of Eastern Visayas, Representative Jude Acidre reiterated the importance of responsible financial aid usage. He appealed to the beneficiaries to utilize the assistance effectively, fostering positive change and contributing to the community's overall development.
