Most wanted individuals apprehended in Samar and Northern Samar

Police operations in Samar and Northern Samar resulted in the arrest of several wanted persons, including the Top 4 Municipal Most Wanted Person in Basey, Samar. Photo for illustrative purposes only.

TACLOBAN CITY – In a successful operation by the Basey Municipal Police Station (MPS), the Top 4 Municipal Most Wanted Person was arrested in Brgy. Cogon, Basey, Samar on July 17, 2023. The suspect, identified as John, is a 23-year-old farmer and resident of Sitio Guinpunduan, Brgy. Cogon, Basey, Samar.

According to PCpt Fernando G Calabria Jr., Officer-In-Charge, John was arrested at around 4:30 PM on the strength of a warrant of arrest for the charges of Murder, Frustrated Murder, and Attempted Murder. 

No bail was recommended for the charge of Murder, while a bail of Php 200,000 was recommended for the charges of Frustrated Murder and Attempted Murder. John is currently in the custody of the Basey MPS for documentation and proper disposition.

In another operation by the San Isidro Municipal Police Station, the Municipal Most Wanted Person for the charge of Murder was arrested in Brgy. San Roque, San Isidro, Northern Samar on Monday, July 17, 2023. 

The suspect was identified as Rolo, a 53-year-old resident of Brgy. Kinabrananb II, Allen, Northern Samar. Rolo was arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest for the charge of Murder with no bail recommended. 

On July 14, 2023, operatives also arrested two Wanted Persons for the charge of Homicide in Brgy. Calomotan, Laoang Northern Samar. The suspects were identified as Jose and Lamberto, both farmers and residents of Brgy. Rizal, Las Navas Northern Samar. 

The operation was carried out by combined personnel from Las Navas MPS, Northern Samar PIU, Laoang MPS, and 2nd Northern Samar PMFC.

The suspects were arrested on the strength of a warrant of arrest for the charge of Homicide with a recommended bail of Php 120,000. The suspects were transported to the Las Navas MPS for processing and appropriate legal proceedings. —iTacloban (Source: PCADG EV)
