Screening announced for Miss Tacloban 2023

TACLOBAN CITY – The Tacloban City Tourism Operations Office and Sangyaw Foundation are scheduled to host screenings for the upcoming Miss Tacloban pageant at the City Tourism Office located in Plaza Rizal every Saturday throughout the month of March.

Fifteen young Taclobanon women aged 18-26 years old are set to compete for the coveted title, which is one of the highlights of the city's annual fiesta celebration in June.

According to the OIC-City Tourism Operations Office Ma. Lumen Tabao, pre-pageant activities will be held for the candidates, including the Talent Portion, Designer's Night, and possible head-to-head challenges similar to those in national and international competitions.

Aspiring candidates are required to submit the following requirements for the screening:

•  Certificate of Residency and Good Moral Character issued by the Barangay Captain of their present residency indicating the inclusive date and period of residency;
• Registrar's/school head's certification of education level/course completed (within two years after graduation)/presently enrolled;
• NSO/PSA Livebirth certificate; and
• Duly accomplished Miss Tacloban Entry form.
