EASTERN VISAYAS – The Department of Tourism (DOT) in Eastern Visayas has been recognized as one of the Outstanding Stakeholders for Tourism Development under the #KahusayCatbalogan Category. 

This recognition was given during the awarding ceremony of "Outstanding Stakeholders of Catbalogan City: Advocates of Resiliency and Sustainability (OSCARS) and State of the City Address (SOCA) 2023" by Mayor Dexter Uy.

The #KahusayCatbalogan flagship program is part of the Catbalogan City Road Map's 10-Point Kauswagan Katbalogan Agenda, which focuses on tourism development. 

This award recognizes the DOT's commitment to the expansion and development of tourism in Eastern Visayas.

The department expressed gratitude and humility upon receiving the award, pledging to continue pushing for the region's tourism growth.
