TACLOBAN CITY – The DPWH Tacloban City District Engineering Office has reached 90.24% completion of the fourth phase of construction of the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Regional Office 8 Building in Tacloban City.
The fourth phase of the said 25-million project funded by the General Appropriations Act 2022 (GAA-2022) has a total contract amount of Php 24,999,136.24, which includes a Genset, elevator, powerhouse and pump room, installation of air conditioning units, and finishing works on the third floor to the roof deck.
Because the DPWH-TCDEO and the COMELEC share the same goal, the Office hopes that the project as mentioned above will not only provide its future employees with a facility that will promote a more conducive and satisfying working environment but will also ensure the quality of the primary vanguard of the people's constitutional right to vote, thereby maintaining the vitality of Philippine democracy.
