The Department of Education's Regional Office 8 has informed the general public that students and teachers who have not received their vaccinations are permitted to attend classes for the upcoming school year.

According to an official from DepEd Region-8, Jasmine Francisco Calzita, who spoke with Bombo Radyo Tacloban, individuals who have not yet been vaccinated are still eligible to enroll in face-to-face classes, which began last week on August 22, 2022.

Teachers who have not yet received their vaccinations but wish to participate in face-to-face classes may do so during the 2022-2023 school year, as stated in a memorandum issued by their Central Office.

The official added that they are continuing to encourage people who will participate in face-to-face classes to get vaccinated against COVID-19. —iTacloban
