According to one study, crying between the hours of 7 p.m. and 8 p.m. can help you lose weight because stressful hormones are released.

HEALTH – According to a report published by Asia News Network, crying at a specific time of day can aid in weight loss. 

In the report, a study suggests that emotional crying can help you lose weight because it is linked to hormones that raise cortisol levels, which are induced when you have bottled up emotions.

The report added that a biochemist named William Frey discovered that stress-induced tears remove many types of toxic substances from the body, leading him to conclude that weeping is an excretory process that removes such substances that can accumulate during times of emotional stress.

As a result, our bodies can't possibly store any more fat because you've already released stressful hormones through crying.

However, the study did point out that tears resulting from genuine emotions will only provide the benefit of weight loss. Scientists also advised crying between 7 and 10 p.m. because this is the best time to cry over sad movies or broken relationships.
