Tacloban City reports 525 active COVID-19 cases

Per the latest update from TCHO, Tacloban City has a total of active COVID-19 cases at 525 as of June 17, 2021.

TACLOBAN CITY —  As of 10:00 A.M, June 17, 2021, the Tacloban City Health Office (TCHO) reported a total of active COVID-19 cases at 525 and 26 new recoveries. This brings the total number of cases to 2439, total recoveries to 2834, and total deaths to 80.

TCHO reported the most cases from V&G Health District with 26 and Sagkahan Health District with 16.  

In the last four days from June 17 to June 20, Tacloban City has recorded a total of 329 new COVID-19 cases wherein on June 17, 93 new cases were recorded, on June 18, there were 45 new cases, on June 19, 85 new cases were logged, and on June 20, 106 new cases were reported.

 Meanwhile, on DOH COVID-19 tracker data, Tacloban City has 557 active cases as of June 22, 2021.

The city also recorded new 16 COVID-19 cases today, June 23, while the whole Eastern Visayas Region recorded 187 new COVID-19 cases, 1 death, and 311 new recoveries, which bring the region's total number of COVID-19 cases to 27,498, total recoveries at 24,485 (89.04%), and total deaths at 371 (1.35%). This brings the total active cases to 2,642 (9.61%).   —Tacloban News Update
