"Poverty is not an obstacle to achieve your dreams." — This was proven by a former tricycle driver who graduated as part of the Philippine National Police Academy (PNPA) Hinirang Class of 2021.

In a report by Bombo Radyo Iloilo, Police Lt. John Michael Dalipe, a native of Passi City in Iloilo Province, shared his story that he was a Passi City Scholar and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in 2016.

While studying in college, Dalipe became a tricycle driver and a stockman to finance his studies.

Despite graduating with a business degree, Dalipe took the PNP Cadet Admission Test in 2016 and passed the exam. Dalipe admitted that he always cried because of the hardships of their lives which inspired him to reach the dream.

He is the first Passi City Scholar who graduated from PNPA.

In a post of LGU Passi City, they highly praised Police Lt. Dalipe as the first Passi City Scholar to graduate from the Philippine National Police Academy S.Y. 2020-2021 in Silang, Cavite in April 21.

PASSI CITY LGU STATEMENT:
