TACLOBAN CITY – On a news report, houses in Barangay. 2 Jones Street of Tacloban City is set to be demolished wherein fifty (50) to sixty (60) families will be affected. For now, the demolition has been temporarily discontinued.
According to Councilor Marvin Selga of Barangay 2 Jones Street, a commotion happened yesterday between the City Engineers Office (CEO) and the residents since the latter don't want their houses to be destroyed.
But after the heartful discussion, both parties agreed to not continue the demolition temporarily.
Selga also added that the City Engineers Office (CEO) told them that before they demolish the houses located on the road right of way, they must be relocated first. CEO has also given them time to prepare for their relocation. iTacloban
