The Tacloban City Council has approved a budget of P83,039,676.61 for the additional benefits of the city government employees and barangay officials and workers/volunteers, nine days before Christmas.
According to the council resolution, the regular employees will receive P50,000 each, consisting of P30,000 Collective Negotiation Incentive (CNI) and P20,000 Service Recognition Incentive. The casual employees will get P32,000 each, comprising of P12,000 CNI and P20,000 SRI.
Meanwhile, the Job Order and Contract of Service workers will get P6,000 additional remuneration and the additional Gratuity Pay of P5,000 approved by President Ferdinand Marcos, Jr.
The Barangay Officials, Barangay Nutrition Scholars, Barangay Health Workers, Barangay Service Point Officers, and the Volunteer Service Program will also receive a P3,000 subsidy and P2,000 additional remuneration for this holiday season.
The funds for these benefits will be sourced from the General Fund of the city government. —iTacloban
