Tacloban PESO launches 5th wave of JobStart Program, encourages jobseekers to apply

TACLOBAN CITY – The Tacloban Public Employment Service Office (PESO) has recently announced the initiation of the fifth phase of the JobStart program in the city, offering exciting opportunities for job seekers. 

In a statement released on the PESO's official Facebook page, the office encouraged qualified individuals to apply for the JobStart Philippines Program at the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) RO8 Training Center in Tacloban City.

From June 5 to June 7, 2023, the DOLE Compound located on Trece Martires Street will serve as the venue for the application process. Prospective applicants are required to bring an updated resume and submit it for an interview. 

To be eligible, candidates must fulfill the following criteria: they must be residents of Tacloban City, aged between 18 and 24 years old, possess at least a high school level of education, have no prior participation in the program, and lack any prior work experience.

The JobStart program provides a range of employment opportunities, with available positions including service crew, management trainee, pharmacy assistant, and teacher. This full-cycle employment facilitation program, known as the JobStart Philippines Program (JSP), is specifically designed to enhance the employability of at-risk youth and assist them in finding productive employment. 

A collaborative effort between the Department of Labor and Employment and the City Government of Tacloban, the program aims to foster the integration of young individuals into the workforce and boost their long-term prospects.
