PCG offers scholarship worth Php 30,000 for dependents

TACLOBAN CITY – The Philippine Coast Guard Scholarship Foundation, Inc. offers a scholarship grant worth Php 30,000 per semester for eligible dependents of active Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) non-officers. This scholarship program is an opportunity for the dependents of active PCG non-officers to continue their college education.

The deadline for application is on May 26, 2023, while the qualifying examination is scheduled on June 4, 2023. 

To qualify for the scholarship, applicants must be the legitimate child of an active PCG non-officer, possess a high school diploma or be a first-year college student, have a general weighted average of at least 80% or equivalent, and be in good physical condition and fit to pursue a college education.

To apply, applicants must provide a fully completed application form (shorturl.at/bnstU), along with a recent 2x2 ID photo, a copy of their PSA birth certificate, a copy of their parents' marriage certificate, and a certified true copy of their report card (or the latest grading period report card if the final report card is not yet available). Incomplete applications or missing information will not be processed.

The application form is not for sale, and there is no reservation fee. The application support person must properly initial any erasures, alterations, and insertions in the application form.

Interested applicants should email their requirements to arizabeanah@gmail.com or submit their application forms in person at any Coast Guard District or Station.

The qualifying examination will be administered at designated testing locations like Coast Guard Districts.

The PCG scholarship program aims to support the educational needs of dependents of PCG non-officers and to provide them with better opportunities for their future. This scholarship grant is an excellent opportunity for qualified dependents of active PCG non-officers to continue their studies without worrying about financial constraints.
