The agreement aims to strengthen the partnership between the DSWD and the local government units, which will enhance the delivery of social welfare services in the provinces of Leyte and Catarman and the entire region.

Regional Director Subong emphasized the agency's commitment to providing timely and responsive services to its clients.

DSWD-8 also launched its e-AICS Mobile Application during the event. The initiative was led by RD Subong and the Regional Information and Communications Technology Management Section (RICTMS) to respond to the digitization of the AICS appointment system in the region.
