DOH-8 resumes COVID-19 vaccination from April 20-28

TACLOBAN CITY –The Department of Health in Eastern Visayas (DOH-8) has announced that COVID-19 vaccinations will resume on April 20, 2023 (Thursday) until April 28, 2023 (Friday) from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. The vaccination center is located at the Government Center in Palo, Leyte.

For individuals 12 years old and above who require a primary series or booster dose, they must bring their previous vaccination cards, a valid ID, and their own ballpen. For children between 12 to 17 years old who will be unaccompanied by a parent, an authorization letter is required.

Meanwhile, for children ages 5 to 11 years old who need a primary series vaccination, pre-registration is required through the link They must bring their birth certificate, a valid ID of their parent or guardian, and their own ballpen. If the child will be accompanied by a guardian, an authorization letter from the parents is required.

Additionally, clearance from a physician is needed if the child has any comorbidity. It is important to note that the child should not have received any other vaccination within the past 14 days.
