The public is invited to celebrate Simbang Gabi and see the Malacañang Christmas Tree and parols at the Palace grounds from December 18 to December 24, as President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. announced last week.

The celebration, themed "Tara sa Palasyo," will run from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each day, with Simbang Gabi taking place at 4:30 a.m. in front of the Mabini Hall. Visitors to the Palace grounds can enter through Gate 6.

This invitation follows the President's efforts earlier this month to bring joy and cheer to Filipino children during the holiday season. He oversaw the Christmas tree lighting at the Kalayaan Grounds in Malacañang and hosted a gift-giving event and Christmas celebration in front of the Palace.

The traditional Simbang Gabi, a series of Masses held in the Philippines during Christmas, allows the public to come together and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ. It is a beloved tradition for many Filipinos, and the opening of the Palace grounds for this celebration allows even more people to participate.

The Malacañang Christmas Tree and parols, traditional Filipino Christmas lanterns, add to the festive atmosphere and add a touch of cultural pride to the celebration.
