DSWD Chief joins PBBM visit to 'Paeng'-affected areas and distributes aid to victims

President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., along with DSWD Secretary Erwin T. Tulfo, led the distribution of aid to families affected by Severe Tropical Storm 'Paeng' during his visit to Noveleta, Cavite, on Monday, October 31, 2022.

The President and Secretary oversaw the distribution of Php 4.1 million in aid to 500 families most affected by the disaster. The package included 1,600 Family Food Packs (FFPs), 500 sleeping bags, 500 hygiene kits, and cash assistance.

Senator Bong Revilla, Cavite Governor Jonvic Remulla, Cavite 1st District Representative Jolo Revilla, and Noveleta Town Mayor Dino Chua joined President Marcos and Secretary Tulfo in the distribution.

Meanwhile, the DSWD reported that as of October 31, 6 p.m., it had provided more than Php 65.8 million in assistance to affected localities nationwide. Following the President's directive, the DSWD ensures continued support and assistance to the affected population. (DSWD)
