One of the most influential rankings, the University Impact Rankings, is the only global performance table that evaluates universities' contributions and initiatives to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals 17 (SDG 17).

The assessment employs calibrated indicators to provide thorough and balanced comparisons across four broad areas: research, teaching, outreach, and stewardship.

This year's rankings included over 1,000 universities from 106 different countries and regions.

Since its inception in 2019, the number of Philippine universities in this ranking has steadily increased. This reflects the growing internationalization campaign of Philippine HEIs, as well as their desire to benchmark and compete with the best universities in the world.

CHED has aided in this effort by hosting masterclasses, workshops, and orientations on international assessments so that HEIs can better understand the process and metrics used by various ranking organizations.

The CHED is still assisting HEIs that want to join the global rankings.  (Source: CHED)
