TACLOBAN CITY — PrimeWater (PW) Leyte Metro held the Groundbreaking Ceremony for Water Supply Improvement Projects in V&G Subdivision, Tacloban City on Wednesday, April 20.

These two projects, which will be implemented in the V&G Subdivision as a result of the Joint Venture Agreement (JVA) between PW Leyte Metro and the Leyte Metropolitan Water District (LMWD), are expected to improve water supply to the entire area.

“There are two (2) projects that we will be implementing in V&G Subdivision which will definitely improve the supply of water in the whole subdivision,” PW Leyte Metro Branch Manager Engr. John Paul H. Delgado stated.

The installation of a distribution pipeline with an 8-inch diameter or width to increase the volume of water that will supply the entire subdivision is part of this P3.8M project, which will take 210 days or seven months to complete, with the exception of the removal of old and damaged pipes, specifically Asbestos Cement Pipes (ACP) and water lines connected to houses.

Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez of Tacloban City officiated the ceremony, which was also attended by officers and members of the LMWD Board of Directors; officials from PW Leyte Metro, led by Branch Manager John Paul H. Delgado; and barangay officials from Brgy. 109, 109-A, V&G Subd., and Brgy. 80. —Tacloban News Update (Source: Tacloban-CIO/PrimeWater)
