7 modern PUVs to ply Babatngon-Tacloban route

TACLOBAN CITY – Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board Eastern Visayas (LTFRB-8), together with Babatngon Transport Cooperative (BATRANSCO), launched on Thursday, March 24, seven modern public utility vehicles (PUVs) that will ply the Babatngon-Tacloban route.

A provisional authority was awarded by Regional Director, Gualberto N. Gualberto, and accepted by Mr. Ben C. Cañete -Chairman of BATRANSCO, who then applauded LandBank of the Philippines, Tacloban Center Lending, headed by Restituta C. Ilagan, for the approved units. 

Hon. Maria Fe G. Rondina, Municipal Mayor of Babatngon Leyte congratulated BATRANSCO on the Cooperative's success in launching modernized units to provide safe and comfortable transportation in Babatngon Leyte.

Tacloban City Administrator Atty. Anacleto Rei "Jojo" Lacanilao III, representing Mayor Alfred S. Romuladez, and Mr. Albert Eviota, representing both Ferdinand S. Romualdez-House Majority Floor Leader, Representative, 1st District of Leyte, and Hon. Yedda Marie K. Romualdez-Representative, TINGOG Partylist, and other key officials were present during the launching.
