TACLOBAN CITY – The Department of Health Eastern Visayas Center for Health Development (DOH-EVCHD) handed over four Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities (TTMFs) to four local government units (LGUs) in Eastern Visayas on four separate occasions from January 26 to 28.

On January 28, Tacloban City received a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) at Bypass Road Brgy. 91 Abucay, Tacloban City.

Tacloban City currently has the highest percentage of residents who have received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine in the region. With a 16-18 bed capacity, the TTMF would extend the city's hospitals, catering to probable, confirmed, mild, and moderate COVID-19 cases.

During the ceremonial turnover, representatives from the DOH EVCHD, PDOHO Leyte, City Health Office, and staff and representatives of the receiving party were also present.

To help decongest health facilities and manage the COVID-19 situation in the province of Leyte, the DOH EVCHD handed over a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility to the province on January 28 during a Blessing and Turnover Ceremony at the Leyte Provincial Hospital Grounds.

Western Samar Province is another recipient of the Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) completed with funds from the DOH EVCHD's Bayanihan II Funds, courtesy of the Health Facility Enhancement Program (HFEP).

Meanwhile, on January 26, in Naval, Biliran, the Department of Health Eastern Visayas Center for Health Development handed over a Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facility (TTMF) to the Province of Biliran.

The TTMF in Naval will be operational with a 15-bed capacity to care for COVID-19 patients with mild symptoms who are possible, suspect, probable, or confirmed. —Tacloban News Update/AJ Yes (source: DOH-EV)
