TACLOBAN CITY – The City Government of Tacloban took action to address a problem in North Hill Arbours of Tacloban North, where some pabahay unit beneficiaries are experiencing flooding in their homes.

Alex Dagsa, President of Cluster 1 in North Hill Arbours, spoke with the Tacloban - City Information Office (CIO) news team about the latest cross-drain work that has been completed and is now paved with cement to serve as a roadway for vehicles.

Floodwater infiltrates their homes during heavy rains, according to Dagsa, which is why they reported it to the City Mayor's Office on January 11, 2022. The Mayor's Office immediately responded to the problem through the City Engineer's Office (CEO).

CEO resolved the drainage issue by building a new canal across the street. Although the torrential downpour lasted several days, the area is now clear of floodwaters.

"As the president of Cluster 1 here in pabahay [area], I would like to thank Mayor Alfred Romualdez and the City Engineers Office for taking immediate action on our drainage problem," Dagsa said. —Tacloban News Update (Source:Tacloban-CIO/MMPadernos)
