How to transfer funds from ShopeePay to GCash?

ShopeePay now allows users to transfer funds directly to other E-Wallet accounts as of May 2022. Users can now use the platform to send money to GCash, Paymaya, Starpay, JuanCash, and Bayad. 

Individuals may transfer funds by going directly to the ShopeePay menu and clicking the "Send Money" button.

They must then select GCash as their preferred E-Wallet by clicking the "To Other E-Wallet" button. Afterward, they must enter the name and GCash account of their intended recipient to complete the process.

Step 1 - Launch your Shopee app and go to ShopeePay Menu

Launch your ShopeePay app and click the ShopeePay button on the home screen. This is accomplished by tapping the button that displays the balance of your ShopeePay wallet. Additionally, you can access your ShopeePay account by clicking the "Me" button. You can access the ShopeePay menu from there.

Step 2 - Click the "Send Money" button and Select "To Other E-Wallet"

To begin transferring funds from your ShopeePay wallet to a GCash account, go to the ShopeePay menu and click on the "Send Money" button, followed by the "To Other E-Wallet" button (as shown in the image below). Ascertain that you have sufficient funds to continue the process.

Step 3 - Choose GCash and enter the recipient's details

On the following page, enter the amount you wish to send and then click the "Next" button. Afterward, click on the "Send Money Now" to proceed. Note: By clicking "Send Money Now," you validate and agree to transfer funds to the account you specified. Your transfer will be processed and may not be reversed.

Step 5 - Verify details and enter your PIN to complete the transaction


To complete the transfer of funds to GCash, you must enter your PIN or authenticate the transaction using your fingerprint after clicking the "Send Money Now" button. Once finished, click the "OK" button.

After completing the transaction, the recipient will receive the funds from ShopeePay immediately. They will receive a text message informing them that funds have been received on their GCash wallet from ShopeePay.

How to transfer funds from ShopeePay to banks like BPI?

You can easily send money from your BPI account to GCash using the funds in your ShopeePay. Previously, using a third-party account was the only way to transfer funds from ShopeePay to GCash. There is no direct way to transfer funds from ShopeePay to GCash.

Back then, you could only add money to your ShopeePay account with GCash, but you couldn't send money back.

If you want to use other accounts and transfer money to GCash, you can do so through other online banking apps such as BPI. It is best to use a BPI account because transferring funds to e-wallets are free. If you already have a BPI account linked to your ShopeePay account, transfer funds to it.

You can follow these steps to transfer or withdraw funds from your ShopeePay account:

Step 1 - Open the Shopee app and then click ShopeePay


If you are already a verified Shopee user and have access to ShopeePay's in-app services, open the app and click the ShopeePay button to access its features.

Step 2 - Click the "withdrawal" button on the ShopeePay menu


Once you are on the ShopeePay page, tap the "Withdrawal" button to transfer funds to your bank account. Make sure that your bank account is linked to your ShopeePay. If not, check the how-to guide here.

Step 3 - Select bank account and enter the withdrawal amount


If your bank account is already connected to Shopee, select it and enter the withdrawal amount to be transferred. Be sure to transact from Monday to Thursday as it takes 1 to 2 business days before the funds arrive in your bank account.

For example, if you transact on Friday, you may receive the funds to your bank account on the following Monday.


When you're done entering the amount you want to transfer, click on the "next" button to continue.

Step 4 -Verify details and click the "confirm" button


Before proceeding, confirm that the withdrawal amount and the bank account details are correct. If correct, press the "confirm" button to continue.

Step 5 - Enter your PIN or your Face/Touch ID

For verification purposes, enter the PIN or any security features you selected in your Shopee app. If successful, Shopee will immediately process the transfer of your funds from ShopeePay to your bank account. 



Note: The money will be transferred to your selected bank account in 1-2 working days. Please note withdrawal won't be processed on holidays.

How do I send money to ShopeePay?

It's easy to send money to your ShopeePay account. Just go to the ShopeePay menu, then click on the "top-up" button. Choose from the top-up channels listed: (1) payment center, (2) e-wallet, (3) over-the-counter, (4) online payment, (5) Touchpay, (6) debit card, and (7) linked bank account.

If you have already selected your top-up channel and complete the payment, your ShopeePay account will be funded immediately.
