How to use the Paymaya app and register for a new account?

To use Paymaya and avail of its services, you need to download the app via Play Store (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.paymaya) or App Store (https://apps.apple.com/ph/app/paymaya/id991673877).

After installing the Paymaya app, you may now create your own account. There are no physical application forms needed. You just need to follow the simple and easy steps below:

1. Open the Paymaya app and then click on “Create Account.”



2. Fill out the form and provide the following information: first name, last name, mobile number, password (which you will use), and email address if available.


3. On the next page, click the “agree” button if you agree with the Paymaya app’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.



4. You will now receive the 6-digits OTP code and you need to enter it for verification. Click “proceed” once you're done with it.


5. After completing the steps above, you are now a registered Paymaya user and you may use this invite code: 42629WM793P0 to avail of additional rewards.

Now that you are able to register for a Paymaya account, you may now use the said app to send money anywhere from home and get a pre-approved Visa or Mastercard virtual card when you upgrade your account.

To make a bank transfer and send money from Paymaya to GCash, you need to upgrade your account first since this feature is available only for upgraded accounts. You may check the information provided here or below on how to upgrade your account.



How to upgrade your Paymaya account?

To enjoy more features, avail of rewards, and get your virtual card, you need to upgrade your Paymaya account. Take note: Upgrading of your Paymaya account is free of charge and its official representatives will never ask for your password, 16-digit card number, and your OTP code.

Once upgraded, your Paymaya account will be able to unlock higher limits or spend from up to P100,000 per month, send money to friends, and instantly transfer funds using the PayMaya app.

You will also be able to cash out or withdraw from any BancNet ATM in the Philippines or Visa Plus/Mastercard ATM abroad once you upgrade your account. For upgrading your account via the Paymaya app, you may follow the simple and easy steps below:

1. Log in to the Paymaya app with your registered account or mobile number.

2. After you log in, access the menu then click on the button with the text “UPGRADE YOUR ACCOUNT.”


2. Fill out the required information under three categories: personal, address, and identification:




  • For the category under “personal”, you need to input the following: first name, middle name (optional), nationality, date of birth, place of birth, and your employment details if employed. Then tap on "next."
  • For the category under “address”, you need to input your present address with the following info:
      • House no./Building No., Street No., Subdivision;
      •  Additional Address Information (optional);
      • Barangay; City; State/Province;
      • Zip Code and Country/Region.

  • For the category under “identification”, you need to provide a valid ID that you will upload. Make sure that the name and birthday in your identification card match the information you inputted in the upgrade application form.

  • For 18 years old and above:
            Primary IDs:
      • SSS ID (Digitized, with photo)
      • PRC ID
      • Postal ID (Issued 2015 onwards)
      • Passport
      • Driver’s License

      • Government Office and GOCC ID (Digitized, with photo)
        or 2 Secondary IDs
      • Senior Citizen Card
      • Police Clearance

  • For Minors (17 years old and below)
            Primary ID (any of the following);
      • School ID (issued within the current school year and signed by the school principal or head of the educational institution)
      • Passport; Driver's License; UMID;
      • SSS ID (Digitized, with photo) and Postal ID.

You must also provide the ff: Parent/ Guardian's Valid ID (based on accepted primary IDs); Signed Parental Consent form; PSA/NSO Birth Certificate or Proof of legal guardianship (if applicable).

  • For Foreign Applicants
      • Alien Certificate of Registration (ACR) i-Card
      • Passport

3. After uploading your Valid ID and its corresponding ID Number, you need to record a 4 to 5 seconds recorded selfie or liveness video as proof of your identity. According to Paymaya:

  • When taking the video selfie, you must follow the instructions onscreen and take note of the required gestures.
  • Make sure not to cover any part of your face and remember to position your head/face properly in the video capture frame.



5. Once you complete the steps above, you must verify all the details you provided and then click on the ‘submit button. You will then receive an SMS confirmation within 72 hours if your account is upgraded.

Take note: You will see a colored-green verified checkmark beside your name and profile icon if you’re already verified. You can then start to avail yourself of rewards and enjoy the features of your upgraded PayMaya account such as sending money to banks and other mobile wallets.



How to send money from Paymaya to GCash?

Sending money to GCash is easy once you already upgraded your account. You just need to enter your Paymaya app and then click on the bank transfer on the screen. After that you need to select GCash from the partner bank list and then input the following: amount, purpose, recipient account details (account number, name of recipient, and his/her number if available).

You may also follow the updated step-by-step guide below on how to send money from the Paymaya app to a GCash account:

1. Open the Paymaya app and then log in to your account.

2. Click the “Bank Transfer” logo on the Home screen.



3. Select GCash from the provided bank list.


4. Input the amount and the details of your recipient then click the “continue” button.


5. Review the transaction details for any errors then click the “send” button.



6. Once you’re able to click the send button, you’ll receive a One-Time Pin (OTP) for your Paymaya to Gcash transaction.




7. Input the 6-digits OTP code sent to your mobile number and tap on “proceed.”

8. Afterward, you will receive Paymaya’s confirmation of the transaction via SMS. You will also receive an image receipt from the app for your proof of transaction. You may save it for future reference.

Take note: Paymaya to GCash transfer fee for 2021 costs Php 10.00 for every transaction. The said transfer fee also applies to other partner banks of Paymaya upon availing of the “Bank Transfer” feature of the app.



How to Add Money to your Paymaya account?
