Three arrested on separate drug buy-bust in Tacloban City

Two males and one female drug personalities were arrested in a separate buy-bust in Barangays 93 (Bagacay) and 106 (Sto Niño) of Tacloban City, respectively. 

TACLOBAN CITY — Three drug personalities were arrested during a separate buy-bust operation in Tacloban City on May 17 and May 18, 2021.

Joint operatives from Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency 8 and Tacloban City Police Station 2 (Abucay) arrested Alyas "Bentong," 18 years old, single, unemployed, and Alyas "Jomar," single, unemployed, on Tuesday morning, May 18.

Both are watchlisted drug personalities and residents of Barangay 93, Bagacay, Tacloban City.

Confiscated from them are six sachets of suspected shabu and subscribed P500 bill and P5000 worth of bills used as buy-bust money. The estimated market value of the recovered items amounts to P10,500.

Meanwhile, on Monday evening, May 17, operatives from Police Station 2 and PDEA-8 conducted a successful drug buy-bust operation at Northill Arbours, Barangay 196, Sto Niño, Tacloban City.

They were able to arrest Alyas "Enna," 24 years old, single, unemployed, a watchlisted drug personality, and a resident of the said barangay.

The drug enforcement unit bought one sachet of suspected shabu from her which led to her arrest.

Confiscated from her possession are one shoulder bag containing the subscribed P500 buy-bust money with serial number QU772550, and two sachets of suspected shabu. Recovered items have an estimated total weight of more or less 4 grams and estimated to have a market value of P32,500.

All suspects are now under the custody of Police Station 2 and appropriate criminal charges for violation of RA 9165 Sec. 5 and 11 are being prepared for filing in the court against them. —Tacloban News Update (Source: Tacloban PNP)
