Man dead in apparent suicide in Carigara, Leyte

TACLOBAN CITY — A man died after committing suicide in Barangay Tigbao, Carigara Leyte.

The victim was identified as Rowing Agunos, 35, single, farmer, and resident of Barangay Candigahub, Carigara Leyte.


According to the initial investigation of the police, PMAJ. Jimmy Boy Balasanos, Chief of Police Carigara Municipal Police Station, said that when the accident took place after Agunos had a drinking session with his cousins inside their house.

They were scolded by his parents due to drinking late at night and making loud noises. Due to this, his cousins left their house, and Agunos also left but did not return during that night.


On the next day, he was seen dead after his cousin saw him hanging inside in one of their mountain huts. 

One of the alleged reasons for the victim's suicide was the treatment he received from his family.
